The Final Chapter...

And for those who think that the heading is a movie, its not. Lol. Its just me saying that since this is the last week for school, or classes as a whole, I guess this will be my last post. (for now that is, maybe when I continue with INT 211 I will have to continue with the blog).

Well to close things off, lets see what you would consider the best movies of all times. Yes, its any movie you really enjoyed as a child up to now or one you recently saw that you really really enjoyed.

As for me, since my interests are on horror movies and fictional movies as well. I would consider War of the Worlds to be one of the best movie too, as well as Signs, and Cloverfield. I also really enjoyed The Exorcist. Ah yes, horror movies. Let me know which ones are your favorites :)

And to put an end to this school  year, I wish you all a very merry christmas and a very prosperous new year as well. Enjoy =]

Christmas Movies...

So we are nearing that time of year again which is seen as probably the best or the worst time of the year for people. As for me, I really like this season because its a time when we get to celebrate togetherness with our loved ones at home or at their houses.

What I used to enjoy the most would be the Christmas movie marathons they would always be showing on TV to better give the effect of christmas. I used to enjoy watching How The Grinch Stole Christmas, and especially A Nightmare Before Christmas.

And especially as a child, I used to enjoy watching the christmas shows that the disney channel used to show.

Let us know which movies you used to enjoy watching during the christmas season =]

Anime..

So this time I'm straying away kinda from the movie topic...
So lets talk about Anime... How many of you guys know what Anime is? It's like a cartoon that is very similar to human beings which show stuff like blood and modern technology. Anywhoo..

The series I love to watch is Bleach. It is very interesting and captivating. It deals with the souls of people and people who move on to the Soul Society who protect the souls of the living from Hollows.
Naruto is another famous anime series. So lets hear which one is your favorite. :)

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows!

As EVERYONE probably knows, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows premieres tomorrows! This movie is probably on everyone's MUST WATCH list! The Harry Potter saga started about 9 years ago, when I was still a child. I clearly remember. Now this movie has grown to fame over the years making it very popular.

Tomorrow's premiere is the first half of the finale series of the Harry Potter series. It is undoubtedly going to be action packed from beginning to end which can be based from all the trailers seen so far. I for one will make sure I watch this movie since I will hopefully be making a trip to Chetumal tomorrow! So to everyone out there, lets enjoy this movie!

Upcoming Movies!

Movies premiering! :
  • Unstoppable (PG-13, 2010)
  • Morning Glory (PG-13, 2010)
  • Skyline (PG-13, 2010)
So these are some movies on premiere. Unstoppable seems to be very promising since it deals with lots of actions that captivate the viewer.
On the other note, Skyline is the one that has my attention. After a late night party, a group of friends are awoken in the dead of the night by an eerie light beaming through the window. Like moths to a flame, the light source is drawing people outside before they suddenly vanish into the air. They soon discover an otherwordly force is swallowing the entire human population off the face of the earth. Now our band of survivors must fight for their lives as the world unravels around them.

I have always been a fanatic to horror movies that deal with an extraterrestrial plot, such as War of the Worlds and Signs. So hopefully this one is very good.

The Younger Years...

So here I am reminiscing about my younger years thinking about which movies I used to watch as a child...
I remembered that in those times, my absolute favorites where those from Disney!

The Lion King, as I recall was one of my favorite movies that I never got tired of! The whole musical in the movie and the idea behind it was fun and captivating for my childish mind in those times.

So let me ask you guys, which movies do you remember liking when you were a child?

Movies on premiere! (November 5, 2010)

For the week os November 5, 2010, the movies on premiere are:
  • Due Date (R)
  • Megamind (PG)
  • For Colored Girls (R)
  • 127 Hours (R)
  • Four Lions (R)
  • Fair Games (PG-13)
So these are the movies on premiere fo that week. Although I am not familiar with any of those movies, the most anticipated movie of that week is 127 Hours. This movie deals with this mountain climber who gets trapped under a boulder while canyoneering on a mountain near Utah, alone, who resorts to many desperate measures in order to survive.

It does sound like a good movie, so I hope to watch it soon as well.

After the storm...

As you may all know, Hurrican Richard battered Belize this past weekend... Although this is not related to movies, I would like to take this time to thank the Lord that the hurricane did not claim any lives. Although it did cause damage, we can all unite and help clean up Belize. We must all extend our help cause we never know when we might later on end up being the victims of such disasters.

Case 39...

Well recently, I managed to watch the movie Case 39. It is a horror movie starring Renée Zellweger. Since my main interest on movies are horror, I was really expecting to enjoy this movie.

It turns out that the movie deals with Zellweger acting as a social worker who is asked to investigate this family on this 10 year old girl who's grades started to drop in school and was reported as socially withdrawn. She realized that the family try to kill the little girl for no motive behind it. The parent are then sent to prison and Zellweger pleads to keep custody of the 10 year old girl. It later turns out to be that the little girl is actually a demon who feed on people's kindness and innocence in order to get what it wants. Zellweger realized that this was the parent's motive to kill the girl and she took to task to do so on her own as well. The demon plays illusions on her to try to keep her from doing so, but once Zellweger managed to overcome this the demon became scared and was eventually killed in a turn of events by Zellweger driving her own car with the girl into a lake where the demon got trapped in the car and drowned.

This movie seemed very appealing in the beginning, but with too much twists happening, it lost the sense in it leading from one thing to the next. I was disappointed at the end of the movie because I expected it to be a very fun, interesting movie from beginning to end. It seems on reviews that many people thought the same giving it a 22% "rotten" rating.

If you have watched this movie, post your views on it and maybe some scenes that you may have liked from it.

  • Jackass 3-D (R, 2010)
  • Hereafter (PG 13, 2010)
  • Conviction (R, 2010)
So these are the movies premiering this week, and undoubtedly, the most anticipated movie to be seen would be Jackass 3-D! Everyone is ready to see what these group of crazy men are up to again, and this time with the effects of 3-D making you feel as if you are there! I can't wait to see this movie, but another that has caught my attention is Hereafter. I expect it to be a very interesting movie which is based on premonitions, and death.
