Case 39...

Well recently, I managed to watch the movie Case 39. It is a horror movie starring Renée Zellweger. Since my main interest on movies are horror, I was really expecting to enjoy this movie.

It turns out that the movie deals with Zellweger acting as a social worker who is asked to investigate this family on this 10 year old girl who's grades started to drop in school and was reported as socially withdrawn. She realized that the family try to kill the little girl for no motive behind it. The parent are then sent to prison and Zellweger pleads to keep custody of the 10 year old girl. It later turns out to be that the little girl is actually a demon who feed on people's kindness and innocence in order to get what it wants. Zellweger realized that this was the parent's motive to kill the girl and she took to task to do so on her own as well. The demon plays illusions on her to try to keep her from doing so, but once Zellweger managed to overcome this the demon became scared and was eventually killed in a turn of events by Zellweger driving her own car with the girl into a lake where the demon got trapped in the car and drowned.

This movie seemed very appealing in the beginning, but with too much twists happening, it lost the sense in it leading from one thing to the next. I was disappointed at the end of the movie because I expected it to be a very fun, interesting movie from beginning to end. It seems on reviews that many people thought the same giving it a 22% "rotten" rating.

If you have watched this movie, post your views on it and maybe some scenes that you may have liked from it.
